Christmas Trees

One of the most cherished Christmas traditions is finding and decorating the family tree. Sandhill Tree Farm can make this a fun and memorable occasion. We invite you, your family, and friends to spend a day on the farm, choosing and cutting your own Christmas tree.

Sandhill has more than 35 acres of sustainably grown Fraser Firs. All our trees are easily accessible from adjacent roads; parking is ample, and there are no slippery slopes to climb. Our friendly and helpful staff will wrap your tree in netting at no extra charge. We furnish saws and twine and are happy to lend a hand if you want help cutting down a tree. We offer pre-cut trees as well.

Add to the fun by enjoying:

  • Hot chocolate and candy canes

  • A roaring bonfire

  • The strolling banjo man

  • Our holiday gift shop

  • Fresh florals from Shady Lady Floral

  • Unique photo opportunities including an antique horse carriage

Your well-behaved pooch can come too – on a leash!

We are open 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the following days:

  • November 21, 22

  • November 27, 28 and 29

  • December 5, 6

COVID-19 Precautions

The safety of our guests and employees means everything to us. We do all we can to operate safely by:

  • Following CDC recommendations and local health department guidelines.

  • Ensuring that employees stay home if they experience any COVID-19 symptoms.

  • Checking employees’ temperatures each day upon arrival.

  • Requiring employees to wear masks and gloves, exercise proper social distancing, and take regular hand-washing and sanitizing breaks.

  • Sanitizing frequently touched surfaces.

  • Requiring everyone to wear masks inside per the state mandate.

We will also make special accommodations for at-risk families, who would like to visit and get a tree outside regular operating hours. This is by appointment only and does not include the holiday festivities listed above.

We also offer the same accommodations to families with autistic children or those with other sensory processing disorders.

If you don’t feel comfortable visiting Sandhill Tree Farm now, we understand and hope you will join us in the future. In the meantime, we can select and deliver a tree to you. Simply give us a call.

We believe that each of us has to do what we feel is right and/or safe for ourselves and our families during this time. With that decision comes personal responsibility to voluntarily assume and accept all risks associated with that decision, including the potential risk of exposure to COVID-19.
